Pedestrian RTA Claims

At What’s My Claim Worth, our expert lawyers have recently settled a personal injury claim for a Mr V who was involved in an accident in May 2011. In Road traffic accidents it is quite common for pedestrians to be injured.

Mr V was standing at the back of his car opening the rear doors when someone reversed into the front of his car knocking him to the ground.

Mr V exchanged full details at the scene which included the full name, address, vehicle registration number, and insurance details. Mr V felt was quite shocked and soon developed pain to his right shoulder and went straight to the local Accident & Emergency.

We submitted a Claims Notification Form to the Defendant’s Insurance Company via the Claims Portal. The Defendant’s Insurance Company failed to provide us with their stance on liability within 15 working days and therefore the matter was timed out of the portal. Following further investigation the Defendant’s Insurance Company accepted that full liability rested with the Defendant.

A medical report was obtained from a GP who found that MR V had sustained soft tissue injuries to his right shoulder and elbow. The expert stated that our he should make a full recovery within 4 months of the date of the accident. The expert advised that no future complications are expected and on this occasion a course of physiotherapy treatment was not recommended.

We forwarded a copy of the medical report together with details of Client’s losses to the Defendant’s representatives. Our Client’s losses included Personal Injury, Travel costs, Medication costs, Care & Assistance, and a Telephone allowance.

Mr V received £2500 in compensation for his road traffic accident claim.

As we were acting for him on a “No Win No Fee” basis there was no cost to Mr V at all for his pedestrian injuries compensation claim.
