What’s my Claim worth have successfully settled a claim for a man who sustained personal injury to his right foot whilst working in a warehouse.
The man was going about his duties at work when a colleague negligently drove the electric pump truck that he was operating into the electric pump truck causing it to be shunted into our client and leading to him sustaining a crush injury to his foot when it became trapped between some racking and his pump truck. Our client was wearing safety boots at the time but due to the angle of the impact the side of his foot was not protected. He suffered a severe soft tissue injury to his foot.
We successfully argued that his employer was vicariously liable for the negligent actions of his work colleague and our client was awarded £6000 compensation which included compensation for his injuries, his loss of earnings and other expenses that he had incurred because of the accident.
