Road Traffic Accident – Bus Accident whilst Passenger – £50,000 in compensation

What’s My Claim Worth lawyers have recently secured damages for a personal injury claim sustained by a passenger on a bus in the sum of £50,000.

Ms C was a passenger on a bus travelling close to her home when a car crashed into the side of the bus close to where she was sat.

Ms C was already registered as disabled prior to the accident but suffered injuries to her neck, cheek, hip, back and shoulder and psychological injuries as a result of the accident.  Ms C also claimed that she suffered from intermittent incontinence of urine as a result of her injuries and we were able to secure medical evidence that supported this element of the claim.

As a result of the accident the Claimant suffered from agoraphobia for several years but psychological treatment was arranged for her privately with some success.

We obtained medical reports from at least 5 different disciplines to assist our client in proving her claim.  The Defendants argued that due to her pre existing symptoms the Claimant had not been that badly affected by the accident.

Court proceedings were issued and after several offers were made by the Defendant we finally advised our client to accept the offer of £50,000 in full and final settlement of her claim, which comprised damages for injury, care and assistance, private treatment costs, travelling expenses and medication costs which would change her life going forward.
