Claim Settled For Pedestrian Hit By Fallen Glass From Defendant Vehicle

What’s My Claim Worth recently settled a claim for a pedestrian injured when she was hit by glass which had fallen from the Defendant’s vehicle. Allison Pepper, a solicitor in our Personal Injury Department at What’s My Claim Worth dealt with the claim.

This claim was unusual as the Defendants were a glazing company and the piece of glass landed on our client’s head, causing headaches, brain fog, dizziness, concussion, fatigue, and a severely bruised arm, together with psychological injuries.

The team obtained medical evidence from an Orthopaedic Surgeon confirming our client suffered a mild contusion head injury which had resolved in 3 weeks, headaches which lasted 2 months and a shoulder injury which lasted 3 weeks.

Our client suffered with anxiety and a Medical Report was obtained from a Psychologist who advised our client had an Anxiety Disorder which was totally caused by the accident.  CBT ‘Cognitive Behavioural Therapy’ was recommended and the Expert felt our client would recover fully by the end of the therapy with no risk of the injury affecting her employment.

The Defendants Insurers offered to pay for the therapy, and in addition offered our client the sum of £5,000 in full and final settlement of the claim for her injuries and financial losses.
