Maria Pilkington, a Solicitor who heads the Personal Injury Department at What’s My Claim Worth has secured a settlement for Mr M. Aged 65 years at the time of the accident, Mr M was cycling along a country lane when dogs came out from a driveway connected to a farm attacking him and causing him to be knocked from his bike sustaining injury to his shoulder.
Mr M approached What’s My Claim Worth for advice and we agreed we would be happy to help him claim compensation. A claim was brought against the farm owners on the basis they had failed to secure their dogs and keep them under control.
Due to Mr M’s injuries medical evidence was obtained from a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialised in shoulder injuries. The medical evidence was quite complex as Mr M had a previous shoulder injury.
What’s My Claim Worth were able to obtain an interim payment to cover the cost of the repair of Mr M’s bicycle and also the cost of private physiotherapy treatment that he had arranged. As part of the settlement we were also able to recover the outlay incurred by his private medical insurance for the cost of the treatment they provided for him. We were very pleased to secure a settlement for Mr M of £21,113.19.
