What’s My Claim Worth were happy to settle a claim for Mrs F, a 44 year lady from Poland injured when she was hit by a car whilst crossing a road in North Wales. Maria Pilkington, a solicitor in our personal injury department dealt with the claim.
As a result of the accident Mrs F sustained several injuries including hearing loss, tinnitus and soft tissue injuries to her neck, knee and headaches. A claim was brought against the driver via his insurers who eventually admitted liability (responsibility).
Medical reports were obtained from a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Neurologist, Ears, Nose and Throat (ENT) Surgeon and Psychologist. As our client lived in Poland we arranged for her to see the Experts over 2 days to reduce the number of times she travelled to the UK. The medical evidence was complex and not all the Experts supported that her symptoms were caused by the accident.
Due to these complexities we instructed a Barrister to advise on the claim and ultimately following issuing the claim at court settlement was reached with the Defendants Insurers at £26,000.
