If you have suffered from PTSD following an accident, you may be entitled to compensation.
Why our clients love us.
PTSD is a psychiatric disorder that can occur following an individual experiencing a traumatic incident. This could be a road traffic collision, a workplace accident or could occur after witnessing a distressing incident.
Whilst some amount of shock and trauma is common after witnessing or being involved in such an incident, it will only be classed as PTSD if symptoms persist for more than a month after the traumatic incident. Ultimately, PTSD can affect every aspect of your life.

We have recently settled a claim for a client who was involved in a road traffic accident. Our client was riding a bicycle when she was struck by a car on her left side, causing her to be thrown to the ground. As a result of this, she sustained a number of injuries including a laceration to the head which required suturing and an abrasion to the face. In addition to this our client suffered nightmares, flashbacks as well as fear of travel and insomnia. Possible PTSD was considered.
As part of her recovery cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) was arranged following a recommendation from the medical expert who suggested that CBT would help with our client’s travel anxiety and potential PTSD following which she made a full recovery.
Liability (fault) for this accident was admitted and we were able to successfully settle our client’s claim for the sum of £12,500.
